The successful Hip Hop Film Festival has an encore run at Oakland's Black Box Theater July 14-17, including another opportunity to see Kevin Epps' powerful documentary Straight Outta Hunters Point. The San Francisco Jewish Film Festival runs July 17 - August 4 at various Bay Area venues and always packs a large number of interesting films into the program. |
A great 1990 film about a high school girl and her personal historical search is most worth catching: The Nasty Girl screens Sunday, July 11 at the Berkeley Jewish Community Center at 2:00pm.
