What an amazing summer we have had thus far!!!!!!!...Purple Mad Day...AmyBob Wedding with a magnificent tour of the Albuquerque area...the birth of Sophie Ane Keightley...Rod Fukumoto's Yakadoshi...Hula and Basketball with Kristi, Mia, and Carah...DMDCAF Poolside Adventures at 30 View Lane...Marina Middle School Girls Basketball Swim Party...challenging work and summer school experiences...shave ice...and a year's worth of hair lost in one single ping pong match!! (More summer photos coming soon!) We've had two delirious Poolside Adventures
at 30 View Lane, but there's one more chance to come and enjoy
the unique DMDCAF environment this summer...it's the third and
final 30 View Lane Poolside Adventure on Saturday, August 30th!
We know many of you wanted to make it to the first Poolside
and couldn't. Even more of you wanted to make it to the second
day poolside and couldn't! Well, here's your chance. Don't go
out of town amidst the Labor Day traffic mayhem! Come out to
30 View Lane on Saturday and chill out and enjoy the rest of
your three day weekend. Not only that, stay for the Journey
to Mars portion and you can sleep under the stars--and the hopefully
exceptionally visible Mars-- on Saturday night. We will not
have this close an opportunity to look at Mars
until 2287! DMDCAF
30 View Lane Poolside Adventure #3: Shave Ice Sport Swim Sit
Dip Ping Pong Relax Dancequest / Journey to Mars Experience The rest of the afternoon will include some or all of swimming, visiting, potluck bbq dinner, ping pong, improvisational dancequest event, and finally--for all those who would like to sleep outside and take advantage of this rare opportunity to gaze at Mars from 30 View Lane--bring your sleeping bags and spend the night! Please RSVP via the upcoming EVITE--or email dmdother@earthlink.net--or call DMDCAF at 925.937.2290--or mail us at 30 View Lane, WC, 94596. *** Let us know if you will join us at noon or 3:00 (or later), what potluck item you can bring for the dinner (we will provide plenty of juice, sodas, water refills, shave ice, popsicles, and hot coals on the bbq), and also please email or otherwise send us your answers to these five questions (even if you are not staying for the Mars observation portion of the event). If you were going to be alone on Mars for one year... 1. What one album would you take with you? 2. What one book would you take with you? 3. What one movie would you take with you? 4. What one food item would you take with you? 5. What one miscellaneous personal item would you take with you? One item each exactly. Please send your responses to dmdother@earthlink.net or phone or carrier pigeon them to us. We would appreciate this information even if you will not be attending the Journey to Mars portion of the event. Hope to see you all at the last DMDCAF event of the summer!! But if you will not be able to make it, please do let us know another time when you would like to come over and enjoy a little swim or toe dipping in our cool pool--the best retreat from the sun--summer is running out! Finally...please mark your calendars for September 18-21, when we hope to see many of you out at the Orinda Film Festival! The program schedule should be available by August 25th. It promises to be an outstanding lineup of films and DMDCAF will be manning the box office much of the weekend so come on by and say hello on your way to a movie!!! paz y amor...y más paz, |
